A'ROR'N Days

Not a lot happens in the small town of Aurora, Nebraska.  After living and going to school in Lincoln, it's been pretty boring here in this town.  With the store, I've been pretty busy so I haven't had time to be bored yet.  This week, my cousins from Florida are here to visit.  They picked a good weekend, because it was A-ROR-N Days!  This weekend, our town has a bunch of different activities going on at our courthouse square.  Not only that, they have a bunch of really good food trailers.  I lived off of hamburgers, turkey legs, and slushies all weekend.

On Saturday I got to watch the parade for the first time in four years!!!!  My youth-group mission trip always fell on the same week so I've missed the parade a lot.  This year, I took my mom's trusty  camera and photographed some of my favorite parts of the parade!  Let it be known, Aurora is a fairly small town, so our parade isn't anything close to Disney's.

Here's our version of a flyover: cropdusters...

Tractor 1

The perfect sized car for me :)

Squirt got a little tired halfway through...

Cute. Period.

PONIES!

My cousins and I then participated in the egg toss.  I was partnering with Kassie (cousin), and Trey (brother) was partnering with Brandon (cousin).  Neither one of us won the entire competition, but Kassie and I stayed in longer than Trey and Brandon!  Oh Yea! Girl Power!!!

Sorry if you're blinded by my white legs...

Trey and Buddy are to the right of me!

I was freaking out.

Well... so was Kassie...

And that's what I did this weekend!  Today, I've got all the rest of my family here for lunch, and then Kassie, Brandon, Trey, and I are going to the movie Epic tonight.  I hope you are all having a great weekend, and I'll see you tomorrow!  Or later today! :) We'll see if I think of anything EPIC!
