What REALLY Happened...

So this last week I was stupid enough to burn myself.  It was actually pretty disgusting looking.  Take A Look, this picture was taken about 3 days afterwards:

Truthfully, it wouldn't be that bad if I had a good, interesting cause of it.  The honest-to-God truth is that I 'slightly touched' the hat vinyl machine, which them prompted me to jump leading to hitting the 350 degree plate again.  So, in actuality, I touched it twice.  Does that story sound interesting to you at all?  No?  I didn't think so either!  I've had people coming up all week asking me what I did, and a couple people actually came up and tried to guess what happened.  I had one person ask me why I had chocolate running down my arm.  Okay?

This may seem a little lame, but I honestly wanted to change my story every time someone asked me what happened.  People that I barely ever talked to, were coming up and asking me what I did to my arm.  I sometimes go through these phases where I just don't like people.  In all honesty, I do like people; I'm just more of a sit-at-home-away-from-crowds kind of person.  When person-after-person bothers me about the same thing, I start to get a little 'anxious'.  I'd like to say I get this from my mom.  We were actually discussing making matching shirts that say "I Hate People".  Anyway, back to my story: By the time the 3rd person came up, I just wanted to scream, "I HAVE A CONTAGIOUS DISEASE SO GO AWAY!"  I don't know about you, but if someone yelled that at me, I'd hightail it out of there.

I then started thinking of other 'excuses' for my attractive injury.  I've always been one to play jokes, and sometimes it's almost too good to pass up.  Sadly, I don't have any juicy stories to tell you.  It seemed that after I thought of lying to someone: no one cared about my arm enough to ask.  I was waiting for someone to walk up and ask, "Lizzy, what happened to your arm, sweetheart?". To which I would promptly reply, "I know, I've never seen a hickey that shape before." BWAHAHAHA!  For reals though, would that not be hilarious?

I'll keep you posted for when the next person asks about what happened; it should be fun :)  In the mean time, you should enjoy this video my brother and I posted yesterday!  Also, don't forget to go to my channel and SUBSCRIBE!  I'm a blogger who vlogs, and I'd love if you followed me in both journeys! Toodles!

  1. OUCH! I think it would be funny to just make up new stories every time someone asks. That might be the lack of sleep and packing-crazies talking. Who knows...

  2. Oh man, that looks painful! But I know what you mean about wanting to change your story. I hurt my wrist/elbow a while back and it was waaaayy too long of a story that I debating changing each time... mostly because it was too depressing to tell each time haha!
