Lizzy's Luggage: The ABC's of Lizzy: A

I've seen a lot of bloggers do this on their pages, and I've always really enjoyed reading them. Basically, with each new letter, I will think of some things (that start with the letter) to share from my life. It's difficult to explain (or my writing capability is seriously flawed), so I'm going to jump right in and get my hands dirty.

Alzheimer's: I wish this hadn't had an effect on my life, but it has, and I'm embracing it. My grandma started showing signs of this disease nearly 15 years before she passed away. Instead of getting an internship or traveling to DC; I spent my summer at home, working for my parents, and visiting my grandma as much as possible. My last summer with her was priceless, and I made a lot of memories I won't ever forget. About a month ago my dad, brother, and I participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. It was great to help raise money for an awesome cause, and I hope to continue doing it throughout the rest of my life.

After-Prom: I've told this story NUMEROUS times before, but for you new readers I'll explain it again. At my Junior-year after-prom, we had a hypnotist. As someone who isn't considered a 'night owl', I wasn't doing very good at 3 in the morning. Long story short: I got a little tired, focused too much, and got hypnotized. Let's just say that everyone was talking about my 'hip-thrusting' the next day.

Academics: I'm a self-professed nerd and proud of it! My education is really important to me and very high on my list of priorities. That doesn't mean I don't complain about homework as much as the next person, though.
